Am I misremembering things? Is MI3 smooth on a powerful 68k like I remember? Is my current machine simply not optimized? I spent a lot of time tweaking back then and I've forgotten most of the stuff I installed, and I was obviously using a much older version of ScummVM. MI3 and freespace runs but Freespace is only playable on lowest setting and MI3 is pretty much a slideshow. however I'm not getting close to the performances I remember. I now have a pretty similar setup with a Mediator, Blizzard 1260/SCSI, Voodoo3 and ethernet etc. I sold most of the parts when moving for studies in order to pay rent and have been buying back stuff a bit at a time these last 4-5 years. I remember running both Freespace and MI3 smootlhy on that machine, and played through large parts of MI3 on my Amiga.
